Who Is Stuart Simonsen?
Stuart Simonsen is what many people call a “serial entrepreneur” with the drive to go after every opportunity that’s up for the taking. He is based in Billings, Montana and has a passion for finding new opportunities that align with his interests. Throughout his career of 20 years, Stuart has successfully worked with a number of different businesses in a variety of fields.
After graduating Concordia University, Stuart sought out success in the banking industry during his 20s.
“I have a certain knack for pattern prediction,” he says. “Way before electronic markets and computer algorithms bgan to take hold, a broker I was working with recognized I had a pretty good winning record with my portfolios.”
Thanks to his mathematical ways, Stuart followed the nudge of the broker and began pursuing investing.
Throughout Stuart Simonsen’s career, he has worked as a Portfolio Manager for Brevan Howard and TradeLink, Joint Venture Director and Senior Investment Director for Grizzly Peak Limited Partnership, and as Partner and Director of Joint Ventures for Saddlebrook Investments.
“The thing I love most about my work is the strategic innovation I get to implement on a daily basis. Finding new investment strategies and new ways to instill life into a portfolio or business that was previously stagnant is exciting and rewarding.”
Branding himself a bit of a “gold bull”, Stuart Simonsen’s inspiration is driven by his desire to share info on the current state of gold, investing opportunities, and what gold looks like in the digital age. (i.e. gold-backed cryptocurrency).
Another great passion of Stuart Simonsen is classic cars and has become an avid collector and aficionado.
In his incredible collection he has beauties such as his favorite 67’ Shelby which he first bought when he was 21 and several other classics he bought to replace the 64 ½ Mustang he sold to help him get to college.
When getting to know who Stuart Simonsen really is, you’ll soon learn he lives by the motto of “love what you do and you won’t work a day in your life,” and that sense of play is evident in Stuart’s professional and personal life. “I take my roles and responsibilities very seriously, but I try not to take myself too seriously.”
This philosophy has proven a unique asset in Stuart’s life, and he hopes to share a bit of that along his journey.
